From 2017 until 2021 Kath was the Head of Participation and Engagement at Cork Midsummer Festival.  International projects she programmed and produced for Cork Midsummer Festival include participatory dining project La Cocina Pública by Chilean artists Teatro Container.  

La Cocina Pública drew stories from local people in Cork’s South Parish to create some memorable dining experiences for audiences to enjoy.  Resulting in 4 live outdoors dining performances for 600 people on Sawmill Street in the grounds of St John’s College all hosted from a shipping container.  Involved 20 local and regional cross-sectoral partners in community development, health, food, culture and business.
