Founded in 2021 by Kath Gorman, Promenade brings extensive experience in producing and supporting multi-disciplinary works in different settings, strategic development, fundraising, partnership development, mentoring and training. We offer expertise in mentoring and training the next generation of arts professionals, with a focus on diversity and inclusion.

Promenade is funded under the Arts Council’s Creative Production Support Scheme for the following activities during 2024 & 2025:

10 artists/companies (see Artists) receiving producing, production & artistic supports from experts and partner resources

3 Emerging Producer partnerships (see Producers) of training, coaching/mentoring, networking and placements: Future Producers, Pilot Producer Network and Event Producer Traineeships

Building artist capacity enabling viable artistic careers, longer life of productions & sustainable touring models

Developing a more skilled, networked and diverse Producer field
Promenade will work with a hand-picked number of artists and organisations, producing specific projects, supporting them to reach their strategic and artistic goals including increasing their partnership and funding bases.
Alongside this we want to help grow a better skilled and more diverse arts sector, in particular, providing training and coaching to emerging and mid-career producers, particularly those less under-represented in the arts sector, wanting to further their career progression.
