Promenade & St. Patrick’s Festival Traineeship

This is a part-time traineeship for an emerging event organiser/producer with an interest in festivals, street performance and circus.
The traineeship is run between two organisations, Promenade and St Patrick’s Festival.
You will spend time working with both organisations to learn the skills a busy producer and events organiser will need, focussing on collaboration, planning and logistics.
As part of the programming team for St. Patrick’s Festival you will support the programming managers with various projects within the festival programme, administrative tasks, liaising with clients and updating spreadsheets. You will also have the opportunity to see how other departments in the organisation run; including production, marketing, sponsorship and operations. You will work closely on the Festival’s Treasure Hunt event (Saturday 14th March), exploring engaging ways for audiences to interact with public space. Working with your personal strengths, there may be opportunities for ownership of smaller projects.
With Promenade you will join the Future Producers cohort - a training and development scheme for emerging and aspiring Producers. You will take part in specialist training from industry professionals in areas surrounding all aspects of producing, from learning how to bring a creative idea to life, to the realities of funding and event delivery.
